Five gangs busted, nine held; 17 motorcycles, cash, phones and weapons recovered
RAWALPINDI, Sep 10 (APP):Rawalpindi Police have arrested nine members of five gangs allegedly involved in robbery, motorcycle theft and other crimes, recovering 17 snatched and stolen motorcycles, cash, eight mobile phones, a wristwatch and weapons.
According to a police spokesman, Naseerabad Police arrested a three-member gang and recovered 11 snatched and stolen motorcycles, five mobile phones, cash, a wristwatch and weapons.
New Town Police arrested the gang leader and recovered three stolen motorcycles, cash and weapons, while Ratta Amral Police arrested two members of a gang and recovered two stolen motorcycles, cash and weapons.
Sadiqabad Police arrested two members of another gang and recovered a stolen motorcycle, a mobile phone, cash and weapons, while Waris Khan Police arrested a gang leader and recovered two stolen mobile phones.
The police said the arrested suspects would be challaned before the court with solid evidence.
