PESHAWAR, Jan 11 (APP):A car carrying groom and his friends met with an accident in Khyber district, resulting in the deaths of five friends, while the groom miraculously survived the tragic mishap.
According to police and rescue sources on Sunday, the accident took place near Bab-e-Khyber due to over-speeding. The groom was returning home with his friends after getting ready at a salon when their car collided violently with a truck.
The collision completely destroyed the car. Rescue teams and police rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies to Jamrud Hospital.
Initial investigations suggest that over-speeding and negligence were the main causes of the accident. Further investigations are underway to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
