Five drug suppliers arrested, Over 7.5kg of drugs recovered in Rawalpindi crackdown
RAWALPINDI, Sep 22 (APP):Police have continued their crackdown against drug trafficking and arrested five drug suppliers, besides recovering more than 7.5 kilograms of drugs in separate operations.
According to the police spokesperson, Airport Police held a drug supplier and recovered 1.9 kg of drugs from his possession.
Ratta Amral Police apprehended another supplier and recovered 1.7 kg drugs while Gujar Khan Police recovered 1.6 kg of drugs from another drug supplier.
New Town Police arrested another suspect and recovered 1.2 kg of drugs. Meanwhile, Chaklala Police recovered 1.2 kg of hashish from a drug supplier.
Separate cases have been registered against the suspects and further investigation is in progress. City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera said all possible measures were being taken to eliminate the menace of drugs and curb the supply of narcotics in the district.
