Five booked over attacking, threatening veterinary doctor

MUZAFFARGARH, Nov 02 (APP): Five people were booked for allegedly attacking a veterinary doctor, in the jurisdiction of Chowk Azam police station, near Adda Niaziabad.
According to police, Dr Muhammad Ismail, posted at the Civil Veterinary Dispensary Akhtarabad, along with Veterinary Assistant Akhtar, visited Dera Shams Niazi, Chak No. 278 TDA, as part of the Chief Minister’s Kisan Dost (Livestock Card) Project. The team was tagging and vaccinating government-distributed livestock when Najeebullah and four others enraged over the Chief Minister’s photograph on the official motorcycle. They allegedly
used indecent language. The accused attacked the officials and subjected them to severe physical assault when Dr Ismail objected.
The vandals also damaged official equipment, including the AI container, tags, and tagging pliers, and allegedly snatched Rs 30,000 from Dr Ismail’s pocket.
On information, other officers from the Livestock department reached the spot.
Police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation. However, accused Najeebullah rejected the allegations and demanded investigation into the matter.
