BAHAWALPUR, Dec 01 (APP): The first meeting of the Board of Management of Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Bahawalpur was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur, Dr. Farhan Farooq Managing Director of WASA, Aamir Sharif, along with other relevant officials, attended the session. Representatives from concerned departments also participated via video link.
During the meeting, the board formally approved the rules, regulations, and delegation of powers for all WASA departments. The Managing Director provided a detailed briefing to Dr. Farooq on the agenda items and ongoing administrative matters.
Dr. Farhan Farooq emphasized the need for WASA Bahawalpur to operate with a strong commitment to delivering modern, efficient, and transparent water and sanitation services. He highlighted that the agency’s policies and budget are designed to prioritize the public interest and ensure the provision of high-quality services to citizens.
The meeting reaffirmed WASA’s commitment to strengthening its institutional framework, improving urban service delivery, and promoting financial discipline, all with the goal of providing better facilities for the residents of Bahawalpur.
