SARGODHA, Jun 07 (APP): First day of Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm in Sargodha district,with people offering prayers in over 257 mosques and open fields across the all tehsils of Sargodha including Shah purr,Bhulwal, Kotmomin,Sillanwali,Sahiwal,Bhera and Sargodha.
According to a spokesperson,thousands of people gathered for Eid prayers at various locations, including the central Eidgah, historic Hamid Shah mosque and other prominent mosques.
Scholars highlighted the philosophy of sacrifice, emphasizing the importance of humility, sympathy and inclusion of the poor and needy in the joys of Eid-ul-Azha.
Police made elaborate security arrangements, deploying over 11 hundred officers and soldiers, installing walk-through gates and deploying elite force personnel at key Commissioner Sargodha Jahanzeb Khan Awan and Deputy Commissioner(DC) Sargodha, Muhammad Wasim offered Eid prayers at a local public mosque, emphasizing the importance of unity, peace and harmony.
The people of the district celebrated Eid-ul-Azha with great enthusiasm, exchanging greetings and well-wishes and reaffirming their commitment to the values of sacrifice, sympathy and compassion while millions of people sacrificed their sacrificial -animals in the will of Allah and fulfilled the Sunat e Ibrahimi.
