FAISALABAD, Sep 30 (APP):A fire broke out in the parking area of Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) after the battery of an electric scooter exploded while charging.
GCWUF spokesperson said here on Wednesday that the fire spread to a university bus parked nearby, which was completely gutted. No injuries or loss of life were reported.
The University’s fire safety system was activated immediately, and security and support staff evacuated the area and began initial firefighting efforts before Rescue 1122 arrived.
The Rescue 1122 team subsequently reached the scene and brought the fire under control after hectic efforts.
