ISLAMABAD, Jul 11 (APP): A fire broke out in an air conditioning factory in Islamabad’s Humak Industrial Area on Friday, damaging multiple sections of the facility.
The flames were brought under control after a prompt response by the district administration and CDA Fire Brigade.
According to the spokesman of Islamabad district administration, the fire erupted in a factory located within the limits of Humak Police Station. Initial investigations suggest the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.
The incident caused damage to a total of nine industrial sheds. Officials confirmed that the fire did not spread to nearby areas, and no casualties were reported.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Fire Brigade responded quickly to the emergency. A total of 12 fire trucks and three water tankers were deployed to douse the flames. After the fire was controlled, cooling efforts were launched to prevent any further risk.
The Islamabad district administration has completed a preliminary inquiry and shared initial findings. Officials said legal action is being taken to determine responsibility for the incident.
Authorities have launched a formal investigation to hold accountable those responsible for any negligence.
