LAHORE, Nov 24 (APP):The crime-thriller film “Jujji,” which secured first place at the Punjab Police Film Festival, has gained significant international recognition and is now available for streaming in the United States and the United Kingdom on Amazon Prime.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, congratulated Director Habib Shahzad on the film’s global success. He said that films and dramas produced by private film-making institutions play an important role in showcasing the achievements and efforts of the police force. He added that Punjab Police will continue to support and encourage private film-makers in producing quality, meaningful content based on crime-related themes.
Punjab Police had organised a crime-themed film festival last year, featuring films produced by private film-making institutions. “Jujji,” produced by BHM Films, secured top position in all major categories, including Best Story and Best Acting. Renowned Pakistani artists Touqeer Nasir, Usman Peerzada and Syed Noor served as judges for the festival.
The spokesperson further stated that “Jujji” has already won several national and international awards. The film depicts the gruesome murders committed by a serial killer and the police investigation leading to his arrest, presenting various aspects of investigative procedures and the challenges faced by officers in a realistic manner.
