FIA arrests two for copyright violations

LAHORE, Jun 18 (APP):The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Corporate Crime Circle Lahore on Thursday arrested two suspects for allegedly violating copyright laws and seized a large quantity of counterfeit products of registered companies during a raid in the provincial capital.
According to an FIA spokesperson,the accused,identified as Umar Afridi and Muhammad Umar were arrested during a crackdown conducted in Lahore.
The spokesperson said that a substantial quantity of counterfeit products bearing the names of well-known registered companies was recovered from their possession.
Initial investigations revealed that the accused were allegedly involved in the sale and distribution of fake products of registered companies,in violation of the Copyright Act and other relevant laws.
The FIA has taken the suspects into custody and started investigation.
