MULTAN, May 30 (APP):In a significant operation, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Multan Zone apprehended four suspects allegedly involved in illegal Hawala-Hundi transactions on Friday.
According to FIA officials, the suspects identified as Muhammad Ashfaq, Muhammad Uzair, Hamid Raza, and Muhammad Ukasha Khan were arrested during a targeted raid conducted at Sangam Chowk, Dera Ghazi Khan.
During the operation, FIA teams recovered Rs. 2.24 million in cash from the possession of the suspects.
Additionally, documentary evidence related to Hawala-Hundi transactions exceeding Rs. 10 million was also seized.
The suspects failed to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the recovered currency and were taken into custody for further investigation.
The FIA has initiated a inquiry, and legal proceedings are underway.
