MULTAN, Jun 28 (APP):The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Multan Zone carried out significant operations against human traffickers, arresting two key suspects involved in human smuggling and visa fraud on Saturday.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the arrested suspects were identified as Muhammad Muzammil and Sher Khan. The suspects were apprehended from different areas of Multan during an ongoing crackdown on human trafficking networks.
The suspect Muhammad Muzammil allegedly extorted Rs. 852,000 from a victim under the pretense of securing a job in Saudi Arabia. Similarly, Sher Khan received Rs. 2 million from another individual, promising him with a fake job offer in the United Kingdom.
Both suspects failed to send the victims abroad and went into hiding after collecting large sums of money.
Both suspects taken into custody and further investigation are underway.
