Federal, Provincial Ministers agree to effectively highlight IIOJK issue at Int’l, national levels
KARACHI, Jul 03 (APP):Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon discussed the current situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, national unity, and other matters of mutual interest with Federal Minister and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Affairs Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, here on Friday.
During the meeting, both leaders strongly condemned the continued human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and the ongoing atrocities committed against the innocent Kashmiri people, a communique said.
It was agreed that cooperation between the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir and the Government of Sindh would be further strengthened to effectively highlight the IIOJK issue at both the national and international levels.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continuing moral, diplomatic, and political support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination at every forum.
On the occasion, Federal Minister, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon briefed the meeting on the initiatives undertaken by the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir to effectively highlight the IIOJK issue.
Sindh Senior Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that close coordination and a unified strategy among all federal and provincial institutions were essential on issues of national importance such as IIOJK.
He said that the Kashmir issue was a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy and reflected the unanimous national stance of the entire nation. He added that the Sindh Government would continue its efforts to highlight the IIOJK issue at all levels and expose Indian atrocities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon presented Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon with a traditional Sindhi Lungi and Topi as symbols of Sindh’s rich cultural heritage
