Federal Ombudsman Secretariat regional office Dera addresses public complaints

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 14 (APP):The Regional Office of the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat, Dera Ismail Khan organized an open court (Khuli Kachehri) at the Civil Defence Office Bannu to resolve public complaints on the spot.
The session was presided over by Senior Investigation Officer Imran Khan, who visited Bannu under the Outreach Complaint Resolution (OCR) program of the Federal Ombudsman.
During the open court, citizens presented complaints related to several federal departments, including NADRA, Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), PESCO, Passport Office, SNGPL, NTDC, Textile Division, and FEB & GIF.
Imran Khan reviewed the complaints and directed the concerned departments to resolve all pending issues within 30 days, while several matters were addressed immediately on-site.
Speaking to the media, Imran Khan said that, on the special directives of Federal Ombudsman Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, open forum were being held in remote areas to ensure that people’s grievances are resolved at their doorstep.
He added that the main objective of such visits is to improve citizens’ access to government officers and to raise awareness about the services of the Federal Ombudsman Institution.
He further instructed officials of all concerned departments that no negligence or delay in addressing public complaints will be tolerated.
The public appreciated the initiative of the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat, terming it a commendable step towards the prompt redressal of citizens’ grievances.
