MULTAN, Oct 24 (APP):Assistant Registrar and Investigation Officer of the Federal Ombudsman’s Office, Mahmood Khan Mahey, visited Muzaffargarh and conducted a public hearing to address citizens’ complaints against federal departments.
During the open court session, more than 35 cases were resolved on the spot, while orders were issued for the refund of over Rs. 500,000 to complainants in various billing-related matters. Mahmood Khan Mahey also directed the Mepco SDOs to restore more than 10 electricity connections and replace over 20 faulty meters in compliance with the Federal Ombudsman’s directives.
He asked the focal persons of all federal departments, including Wapda, Sui Gas, Postal Life Insurance, Nadra, Pakistan Railways, Zarai Taraqiati Bank, and Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, to ensure immediate implementation of pending decisions issued by the Ombudsman.
Mahey emphasized that no negligence or delay will be tolerated in resolving public grievances. He encouraged citizens to submit their complaints on plain paper to have access to free, fair, and timely justice in accordance with established rules and regulations.
