Federal Ombudsman Office Sukkur holds public hearings to address complaints

SUKKUR, Feb 13 (APP): On the directives of Federal Ombudsman, Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, the Federal Ombudsman Office Sukkur on Friday conducted hearings for 84 public complaints at the regional level.
The session was presided over by Syed Mahmood Ali Shah, Regional Head of the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat Sukkur and Larkana, along with Consultant Fida Hussain Solangi.
Of the total cases, 39 were related to SEPCO, with SEPCO Larkana and Larkana Divisions participating. Executive Engineer City, Asghar Ali Sheikh, and Revenue Officer City SEPCO, Suhail Ahmed Kahoor, were present and took part in the proceedings. Fifteen cases pertained to SSGCL, with Zonal Manager SSGCL Larkana, Saeed Ahmed Korejo (Deputy Manager), and other concerned officers appearing during the hearings.
The remaining cases involved Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Passport Office, Postal Life Insurance (PLI), Pakistan Post Department, and BISP.
Officers, including Assistant Directors of BISP, PBM, and PLI, as well as the Deputy Superintendent of Pakistan Post, were present. Complainants appeared before the forum, and their grievances were heard patiently and thoroughly.
Where maladministration was identified, cases were dealt with strictly in accordance with the law, and decisions were issued accordingly. The Federal Ombudsman Secretariat reaffirmed its commitment to providing swift, transparent, and effective relief to the public and ensuring accountability of federal institutions.
