QUETTA, Jul 16 (APP):Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry on Wednesday reviewed various ongoing development projects at Gwadar Port during his visit to Gwadar.
On this occasion, he inspected the cold storage, 1.2 MGD capacity desalination plant, fertilizer factory established in the South Free Zone, slaughterhouse and the inland channel of Gwadar Port.
The Federal Minister also appreciated the performance of Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Deputy Director Engineer Gulzar Baloch, Engineer Pirdad and female engineers associated with the project for making the 1.2 MGD desalination plant operational in a short period of time and announced that the ministry would award certificates of appreciation.
Minister Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said that these projects were key to the economic development of Gwadar and improving the quality of life of the local population.
He said that federal regime under the leadership of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was paying special attention on Balochistan development including specially Gwadar progress.
During the visit, Gwadar Port Authority officials gave a detailed briefing to the Federal Minister about the progress of the ongoing projects.
