PESHAWAR, Jun 10 (APP): Federal Budget 2025-26 has widely been hailed by the people of all walks of life in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday.
Senior academician and former Chairman Politcal Science Department at University of Peshawar, Professor Dr. AZ Hilali, ex Information Officer Misal Khan, former Chairman Economics Department Zilakat Malik and traders leader Jalil Jan welcomed an increase and pension of Federal Governmnt’s employees in the budget and termed it relief oriented.
Information Officer (Retd) Misal Khan said that despite financial constraints, the Federal Government deserved full credit and appreciation for presenting a goal- oriented budget in which maximum relief were provided to all segments of the society.
He said that increase in salaries and pension of the Government employees would help provided relief to the price hike stricken people of Khyber Pakthunkhwa.
Professor Dr Zilakat Malik welcomed allocation of Rs.1,904 million for 10 projects of the Industries and Production Division under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) during the upcoming financial year 2025-26.
He said that Pakistan was confronted to the monster challenge of unemployment and poverty and promotion of industries and agriculture sectors would help create jobs opportunities for youth.
Professor Dr AH Hillali welcomed increase in pay and pension of employees in federal budget and termed it relief oriented.
He welcomed allocation of huge amount for education, health, PSDP, Benazir Income Support Program and other socioeconomic sectors.
He said that it was a good omen that wheel of economic growth and development was back on track and maximum relief provided to people all provinces of Pakistan.
The speakers said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and his financial teams deserved full credit and appreciation for present goal oriented budget.
