FAISALABAD, Jul 08 (APP):Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) is taking solid steps to administratively strengthen the authority and make its departments more self-reliant, said Additional Director General FDA Qaisar Abbas Rind.
He was addressing a directors’ conference held on the directives of Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhary to discuss available staff and their responsibilities.
He said that a vigorous strategy would be formulated after assessing current workload and staffing requirements to enhance departmental efficiency. He also reviewed departmental performance regarding service delivery and stressed the need for a rationalization policy to stabilize FDA’s financial affairs.
This goal would help reduce non-developmental expenses without affecting office efficiency or service delivery, he added. He said that recommendations would be made to abolish less critical vacant positions across different pay scales, while essential posts based on severe needs and departmental demand may be reallocated.
He said that these reforms would help strengthen the administrative structure, ensure excellent service delivery, and uphold the rule of law.
To achieve this, an enforcement department will be established and activated to systematically enforce building by-laws, the Punjab Cities Development Act, Land Subdivision Rules, and other relevant laws, he added.
He urged the directors of various departments to fully utilize the skills and potential of their staff, ensuring no department remains ineffective or underutilized.
The officers presented suggestions regarding staffing and administrative needs for efficient office operations, expressing their commitment to the success of these reformative measures.
Chief Engineer FDA Mehr Ayub, Directors of various departments Asma Mohsin, Junaid Hassan Manj, Sohail Maqsood Punnu, Asim Mehmood, Deputy Directors Humaira Ashraf, Shabbir Sajjid Gujjar, Afzal Ansari, Abdullah Noor and others were also present on the occasion.
