FAISALABAD, Dec 05 (APP): Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has launched a major anti-encroachment drive in residential colonies and commercial markets to ensure unobstructed public access and smoother traffic flow.
FDA spokesman said here on Friday that Anti-Encroachment Team led by State Officer Aneeb Aslam Randhawa under the supervision of Director State Management Junaid Hassan Manj removed temporary encroachments from the markets in Madina Town and other areas.
Inspector Muhammad Aslam Ansari and team members conducted inspections at multiple locations including Z-Block Madina Town and Eden Valley Chowk on Chak 204/R-B Road where some shopkeepers had extended their business into public pathways, obstructing pedestrian movement and vehicular traffic.
During operation, commercial goods used for encroachments were seized and challans against the violators were filed in the court of Special Judicial Magistrate, he added.
He warned the shopkeepers to strictly confine their activities within designated boundaries and refrain from establishing temporary or permanent encroachments. Failure to comply could result in criminal proceedings against habitual offenders, he added.
