FAISALABAD, Oct 20 (APP):The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has ramped up its recovery campaign, tightening the noose around chronic defaulters in a bid to ensure 100% recovery of outstanding dues.
Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhary has issued strict instructions to expedite the recovery process and has assigned Additional Director General (ADG) Qaisar Abbas Rind to rigorously monitor the campaign. He made it clear that properties of defaulters who fail to clear their dues immediately will be sealed, and illegal constructions on such properties will be demolished.
A review meeting chaired by ADG Qaisar Abbas Rind was held to evaluate recovery progress across all categories. Expressing dissatisfaction over the slow pace of recovery, he warned that negligence or laxity in collecting FDA dues would not be tolerated.
He emphasized that daily monitoring of recovery targets is essential, and any obstacles or challenges must be reported to him immediately. Field staff failing to meet weekly recovery targets will face strict disciplinary action.
ADG Rind directed that legal proceedings should be launched without discrimination against all defaulters who have ignored repeated notices. He also instructed FDA officers from all departments to closely monitor their field teams, and to report those staff members who neglect duties or show disinterest in the campaign, so that departmental action can be taken.
Furthermore, he warned that poor performance in the recovery drive would be reflected in the Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) of concerned staff. He urged all officers and staff to carry out their responsibilities with diligence, honesty, and commitment for better service delivery to the public.
The meeting was attended by Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin, Director Estate Management Junaid Hassan Manj, Director IT Yasir Ejaz Chattha, Director Planning and Development Asim Mahmood, Deputy Directors Finance Faisal Butt and Humaira Ashraf, Deputy Director Katchi Abadi Afzal Ansari, Assistant Director Finance Adnan Shahzad, Assistant Director Recovery Mian Akhtar, and other senior officials.
