FAISALABAD, Aug 12 (APP):Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has chalked out various programmes to celebrate ‘Independence Day’ in a befitting manners on August 14.
FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry said here Monday that a ‘Dua’ would be offered at the mosque of FDA complex for the departed souls of martyrs of the Independence Movement, prosperity of the country, national unity, peace and harmony.
He said that the FDA complex and all subsidiary offices were being decorated with national flags, colorful buntings and lights. Banners and streamers have been displayed on the main roads of the city.
On August 14, the flag hoisting ceremony would be held at the FDA City Sports Complex and the independence cake would be cut.
On the occasion, a foundation stone ceremony for the construction of Divisional Public School & College campus would also be held in FDA City.
Commissioner Silwat Saeed will be the chief guest.
