FDA actively engages in flood relief operations

FAISALABAD, Sep 08 (APP):Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) staff is actively engaged in flood relief efforts across the division to ensure the early rehabilitation of flood-stricken communities.
An FDA spokesperson said on Monday that FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhary has deployed staff to various relief camps to assist district administrations and other departments in supporting flood victims.
The spokesperson added that FDA teams are working closely to aid and rehabilitate affected families. Deputy Director Town Planning Raheel Zafar and Assistant Director Estate Management Ghulam Shabbir, along with FDA staff, distributed large quantities of bottled drinking water to flood victims at relief camps in Ahmed Pur Sial, Garh Maharaja, and Shorkot in the Jhang district.
The teams also assessed the immediate needs of those affected and spent time with victims to provide comfort and reassurance, emphasizing that the Punjab government and all administrative departments are fully mobilized with sufficient resources to assist them during this challenging time.
They assured the victims that every possible step is being taken to support and rehabilitate those impacted by the floods.
Meanwhile, FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhary expressed deep sympathy for the victims and affirmed solidarity with them during this crisis. He praised the dedication of FDA staff and emphasized their responsibility to contribute actively to relief and rehabilitation efforts with compassion and a spirit of public service.
He added that collective efforts are vital to overcoming the challenges posed by natural disasters, and the FDA is fulfilling its role as a committed public institution.
