FAISALABAD, Nov 17 (APP): Leaders of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) have paid tribute to Chaudhry Rehmat Ali on his birth anniversary with reverence and respect.
In this connection, a special commemorative ceremony was hosted by former Senior Vice President FCCI Chaudhry Tallat Mehmood.
FCCI President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh and Vice President Engr. Asim Munir joined the ceremony and cut a cake to honor the legacy of distinguished nationalist thinker Chaudhry Rehmat Ali who coined the name “Pakistan”.
Speaking on the occasion, FCCI leaders paid rich tribute to Chaudhry Rehmat Ali for his intellectual contribution to the Pakistan Movement. They described him as a pivotal figure whose foresight shaped identity of the nation.
They emphasized that in accordance with his will the remains of Chaudhry Rehmat Ali should be brought back from England and laid to rest in Pakistan.
Highlighting the importance of preserving national history, Chaudhry Tallat Mehmood said that Chaudhry Rehmat Ali’s role in the Pakistan Movement must be included in the national curriculum so that young generations could fully understand and appreciate his contributions.
Acknowledgement of such national heroes strengthens collective identity and deepens respect for ideological foundations of the country, he added.
