FATA University moves to modernize academic system, promote research

PESHAWAR, Sep 15 (APP):FATA University on Tuesday decided to further strengthen its academic and research standards by modernizing its teaching system, promoting research activities and improving facilities for students.
The decision was discussed at the 22nd meeting of the university’s Academic Council, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohsin Nawaz. Heads of departments, administrative officers, the principal of Government Degree College Darra Adam Khel and other council members attended the meeting.
The council reviewed a range of academic matters, including the academic calendar, admissions, examinations, affiliation and teaching and research activities. Members also put forward proposals and recommendations for improving academic standards.
Prof Dr Mohsin Nawaz said the university was focused on providing quality education and equipping students with skills in line with emerging global requirements.
He emphasized the need to enhance faculty members’ professional capabilities, expand research activities and provide better academic facilities to students.
The vice chancellor said the university would pursue a coordinated and effective strategy to strengthen its academic profile and enable FATA University to secure a place among the country’s leading universities.
