LARKANA, Nov 11 (APP):Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Tuesday terming constitutional court as “need of the hour” said this would ensure equal representation in constitutional interpretation.
Addressing a press conference at the Larkana Press Club, Khuhro said the objections raised against the establishment of constitutional court under the 27th Amendment were “unjustified”.
Khuhro highlighted the Sindh government’s initiatives to support farmers, including providing Rs 22,000 per farmer for the purchase of fertilizers and seeds.
He urged the federal government to restore the Rice Export Corporation and set a support price of wheat at Rs 4,000 per maund.
Regarding the Pakistan Engineering Council’s (PEC) performance, Khuhro said that the organization had recovered Rs 26 billion from government departments in Sindh and deposited it with the Sindh treasury.
