PESHAWAR, Jul 26 (APP):Engr Qaiser Nawab, a renowned global youth advocate, met with the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi at the Governor House in Peshawar.
The meeting highlighted the pivotal role of youth development in shaping Pakistan’s future, with a focus on harnessing the potential of the country’s youthful population, which comprises approximately 70 percent of the total demographic.
During the engaging discussion, Nawab congratulated Faisal Karim Kundi on his recent appointment as Governor.
He lauded Kundi’s proactive efforts towards youth and women empowerment and emphasized the critical importance of investing in youth for national progress.
Governor Faisal Kundi reciprocated by sharing his vision for advancing youth and women empowerment and acknowledged Nawab’s exemplary achievements and global representation of Pakistan.
The conversation covered several key areas of collaboration, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a particular emphasis on climate change, skills training, and green job creation. Both leaders stressed the need for fostering national unity among the youth to further the nation’s development and uphold national interests.
They explored initiatives to facilitate cooperation among Pakistani youth leaders and proposed inter-provincial exchange programs to realize the vision of Pakistan’s founding leaders.
They also discussed enhancing climate diplomacy through greater youth and child involvement, particularly in preparation for COP-29 in Azerbaijan. The meeting addressed the recent challenges faced by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially DI Khan and neighboring areas, which were severely affected by flooding. The impact on youth, women, and children, and the necessary rehabilitation efforts were key discussion points.
The meeting underscored the shared commitment of both to leveraging Pakistan’s youth potential for a brighter, sustainable future.
