RAWALPINDI, Nov 04 (APP):Police have arrested eight individuals, including three women, for violating marriage laws during a wedding ceremony in the jurisdiction of Mandra Police Station, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
According to Police, the Mandra Police conducted a raid during the event after receiving reports of violations of the Sound System Act and other related laws.
During the operation, police seized a sound system, amplifier, computer, Rs 150,000 in cash, and firecrackers from the scene.
Separate cases have been registered against all suspects, and further investigation is underway.
SP Saddar commended the police team for their swift response and said that the arrested individuals would be presented before the court with solid evidence.
He added that those disturbing public peace or violating legal restrictions during events would face strict legal action.
