Educational Complex partially handed over to education authority

RAWALPINDI, Feb 26 (APP):The long-pending District Educational Complex project in Rawalpindi has moved forward after two completed floors were ordered to be handed over to the education authorities, paving the way for the relocation of scattered offices under one roof.
The construction of the District Educational Complex had remained partially stalled despite completion of two floors, as the formal handover process faced delays. As a result, the shifting of relevant offices could not take place.
Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Hassan Waqar Cheema, directed the Building Department to immediately hand over the two completed floors to the District Education Authority Rawalpindi so that the relocation process could begin without further delay.
Previously, various offices of the District Education Authority were operating from different parts of the city, compelling citizens and teachers to visit multiple locations for official matters. This situation caused inconvenience, additional travel expenses and loss of time for the public.
Following the partial handover of the Educational Complex, the relevant offices will now be able to function under one roof. Officials said the move would not only improve administrative coordination but also facilitate teachers and the public by providing a more organized and accessible environment.
The consolidation is expected to enhance service delivery and streamline the handling of educational matters, ensuring quicker resolution of issues faced by citizens.
Chief Executive Officer of the District Education Authority, Tariq Mehmood, expressed special gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema.
