Education minister visits Abbottabad Public School, attends prize distribution ceremony

PESHAWAR, Dec 6 (APP): Provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Arshad Ayub Khan on Saturday visited Abbottabad Public School and inaugurated newly constructed boardroom.
He also attended annual prize distribution ceremony as the chief guest and distributed prizes among outstanding students.
During the visit, the minister formally inaugurated the school’s newly built boardroom and inspected various departments, laboratories and classrooms. He reviewed scientific models and projects prepared by students and appreciated their creativity, noting that the high-quality work reflected the dedication and guidance of their teachers.
Addressing the ceremony, Arshad Ayub Khan said that it was an honour for him to visit the historic institution. He highlighted the achievements of the institution and students’ achievements are evidence of their hard work, passion and dedication of teachers.
The minister emphasized that the country’s youth were equipped with new ideas and technological skills. With rapid global advancements, he said, technologies such as artificial intelligence are transforming educational methods.
He highlighted that the combined efforts of students, parents, and teachers form the foundation of success. He urged students to move ahead with determination, discipline and courage for development of the country.
The minister assured that issues faced by the school would be resolved in the upcoming board meeting and vowed that promises made during the visit would be fulfilled.
On the occasion, Principal, Akhtar Ali Qureshi shared that the school outstanding results in board examinations last year. He added that alongside academic excellence, the school places strong emphasis on character building and extracurricular activities.
