PESHAWAR, Nov 21 (APP):The Office of the Provincial Election Commissioner Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has initiated action over a code of conduct violation during the NA-18 Haripur by-election campaign.
During a public gathering of PML-N candidate Babar Nawaz Khan, party leader Murtaza Javed Abbasi allegedly used inappropriate language in his speech.
Following the incident, District Monitoring Officer Asghar Khan issued formal notices to both individuals.
Murtaza Javed Abbasi has been summoned to appear on Saturday at 2 p.m. while PML-N candidate Babar Nawaz Khan has been directed to appear at 4 p.m. to submit their explanations.
The Provincial Election Commissioner stated that strict and immediate action will be taken against any violation of the election code of conduct during the by-election process.
