PESHAWAR, Oct 20 (APP):The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced October 31 as the last date for receiving applications for postal ballot papers in connection with the by-election for NA-18 Haripur.
According to the ECP release issued here, the facility of postal ballot is available to government employees, members of the armed forces, and their spouses and children, provided they are registered voters residing with them outside their home constituency.
The Commission added that persons with disabilities who are unable to travel and possess a NADRA-issued CNIC bearing the disability logo, as well as prisoners in custody or serving sentences, are also eligible to vote through postal ballots.
Additionally, individuals assigned election duties including police personnel who are registered voters have been instructed to submit their postal ballot applications to the Returning Officer within three days of their appointment.
The postal ballot application form can be downloaded from the ECP’s official website at www.ecp.gov.pk.
