QUETTA, Oct 30 (APP): In preparation for the upcoming Local Government Elections in Quetta, the Provincial Election Commission Balochistan organized a comprehensive training session for District Returning Officers (DROs) and Returning Officers (ROs) at the office of the Provincial Election Commissioner in Quetta on Thursday.
Presiding over the session, Provincial Election Commissioner Ali Asghar Sial reaffirmed the Election Commission’s commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent local body elections in Quetta. He urged all officers to uphold the principles of impartiality, transparency, and strict adherence to electoral laws throughout the process.
Ali Asghar Sial emphasized that the primary objective of the training was to enhance the officers’ capacity in managing electoral affairs.
The session covered key areas including polling station management, implementation of the election code of conduct, coordination strategies for election day operations.
He reminded participants that integrity and professionalism are essential to ensuring peaceful and credible elections in Quetta.
Earlier, District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mehrullah Badini, administered the oath to all Returning Officers under his jurisdiction, marking a formal start to their responsibilities in the electoral process.
