PESHAWAR, Feb 25 (APP): Tremors of an earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale were felt in several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Seismological Centre of the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the epicentre of the earthquake was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border region.
The department said the earthquake originated at a depth of 114 kilometres and struck at 4:12 pm.
Tremors were reported in Peshawar, Swat and Chitral. No immediate reports of casualties or damage were received till the filing of this report.
