PESHAWAR, Nov 11 (APP):A Project Steering Committee meeting was convened by the Planning and Development (P&D) Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday to deliberate on the conversion and introduction of eco-friendly electric rickshaws (e-rickshaws) in the provincial capital.
The meeting, chaired by Adeel Shah, the Secretary of the Planning and Development Department, was held to assess the project’s current progress and chart a future course of action for its implementation.
During the session, committee members and stakeholders engaged in detailed discussions on various facets of the initiative. Key topics included the projected benefits of e-rickshaws, the necessary infrastructure upgrades, and the finalization of a comprehensive implementation plan.
The introduction of this green transport solution is anticipated to offer Peshawar residents a clean and efficient mode of travel, contributing to reduced air pollution and the promotion of sustainable urban transportation.
The meeting was attended by relevant officials from the P&D Department, the Transport Department, and other concerned government bodies, underscoring a coordinated approach to the project.
