ABBOTTABAD, Aug 22 (APP):The e-challan system on the Hazara Motorway has become operational following the completion of camera installation, with motorists committing traffic violations now required to pay their fines at interchanges before being allowed to exit the motorway.
According to SP Maqsood Dogar, the newly installed automated system will identify vehicles carrying e-challans as they reach an interchange. A designated indicator will immediately alert motorway police personnel about the vehicle and its outstanding violation.
He said the concerned officials would check the e-challan and collect the imposed fine at the interchange, after which the vehicle would be permitted to leave the motorway.
SP Maqsood Dogar said the system had been introduced to improve monitoring of traffic violations, ensure effective enforcement of motorway laws and encourage motorists to comply with traffic regulations
