BUREWALA, Jul 08 (APP):Police have registered a case against over 10 police officials including a DSP and SHO on the orders of Lahore High Court Multan Bench citing allegations of killing a young man and injuring his cousin in an alleged fake police encounter.
A woman r/o Chak 19/WB had approached the high court stating that police had arrested her 23 years old son Zeeshan Ali and her nephew Shahbaz on Apr 29, 2025 but they did not produce them before any court which became a source of concern and she decided to move the high court and filed a habeas corpus petition, 4926-HB/2025, titled Zubaida Bibi vs DPO and others. Later, she said, on May 05, 2025, she came to know that her son has been killed in a police encounter by CCD police in Seetal Mari police area in Multan while her nephew suffered bullet injury on his knee. She alleged her son was killed in a fake encounter and sought registration of case against policemen involved.
Thingi police registered FIR on the orders of the high court under sections 302, 324, 148, 149 PPC against DSP CCD Malik Rashid Thahim, SHO Shahid Ishaq Gujjar, four others nominated and five to six unknown police officials.
