MUZAFFARGARH , Dec 02 (APP):An Additional District and Sessions Court in Muzaffargarh announced verdicts in two narcotics cases registered at Sadar Sarwar Shaheed Police Station, sentencing one accused to rigorous imprisonment while acquitting another due to lack of evidence, police sources said on Tuesday.
According to officials, Additional District and Sessions Judge Jehangir Ashraf convicted Abdul Rasheed in case No. 472/25, awarding him 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment under Section 9-C of the Control of Narcotics Substances Act (CNSA).
In a separate judgment in case No. 475/25, the court sentenced the same accused, Abdul Rasheed, to life imprisonment with hard labour under Section 9-E of the CNSA.
The court, however, acquitted co-accused Ateeq, citing insufficient evidence.
The investigations were conducted by Sub-Inspector Tahir Khan Baloch of Sarwar Shaheed Police Station, while Chaudhry Saeed Warraich served as the prosecution officer and Advocate Atta Mustafa Baloch represented the state during the proceedings.
