ISLAMABAD, Sep 22 (APP):The Islamabad Capital Police (ICP) apprehended a drug peddler involved in supplying drugs at educational institutions and recovered 2873 gram hashish, 748 gram heroin and 88 gram ice from his possession.
A public relations officer Friday said that acting on the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, a team of Khanna police station intensified crackdown against the drug peddlers involved in supplying drugs at educational institutions in order to eliminate this menace from the city.
The Khanna police team arrested an accused namely Kamran and recovered 2873 gram hashish, 748 gram heroin 88 gram ice from his possession. Cases were registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
The ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed all senior officials to conduct an effective crackdown against the accused involved in drug peddling activities.
He emphasized that the ICP would leave no stone unturned to curb the menace of drugs. No one will be allowed to play with the precious lives of our young generation,’ he added.
