ATTOCK , Mar 3 (APP):A convicted drug trafficker on Tuesday was sentenced to 14 years rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 400,000 by a local court in Hassan Abdal.
According to official details, in 2025, an Assistant Sub-Inspector, City Police Station arrested accused namely Shabbir Ahmed, a resident of Taxila during routine checking and recovered 5.69 kilograms of narcotics from his possession.
A case was registered and further investigation was conducted by the investigating officer, who submitted the challan before the court with substantial evidence.
After completion of trial proceedings, Additional Sessions Judge Hassan Abdal Syed Hassan Abbas announced the verdict in the case , awarding the convict 14 years’ rigorous imprisonment and imposing a fine of Rs 400,000.
