Drone flying banned across province

LAHORE, Feb 25 (APP): The Punjab Home Department has imposed a complete ban on drone flying across the province on Wednesday.
The ban was imposed under Section 144 of the CrPC, the Punjab Home Department has issued an immediate order.
The use of unregulated drones has been declared a threat to law and order, and there is a fear of interference in security and government affairs through drones.
According to the Home Department, a decision has been taken to protect public life and property, outdoor drone flying within the limits of Punjab is completely banned, limited and safe use is allowed in indoor events.
The use of small drones will be allowed in halls and marquees, the responsibility of using indoor drones will be on the event organiser, law enforcement agencies have been exempted from the ban.
Intelligence and law enforcement agencies will get permission, the ban will be effective for 30 days, the order was issued from Lahore on February 25, 2026.
According to the Home Department, legal action will be taken in case of violation, the government took action in view of the law and order situation.
Illegal drone activities have been declared a threat to public security, there is concern at the government level over the increasing use of drones, a strict decision has been taken due to security concerns in Punjab.
The Home Department has issued instructions to all relevant institutions for implementation.
