BANNU, Jul 28 (APP):During an anti-terror operation in the Miryan area of Bannu, a drone used by terrorists crashed onto their own group, reportedly killing and injuring several of them.
According to RPO Bannu, Sajjad Khan, security forces launched an operation based on intelligence reports indicating the presence of terrorists in the region. The operation involved the use of armored vehicles, drones, thermal weapons and other advanced equipment.
He stated that anti-drone technology was also deployed during the operation.
A quadcopter attack on the Miryan police station was foiled, and the drone, launched by the terrorists, ended up crashing into their own ranks. Several casualties among the terrorists have been reported as a result.
