PESHAWAR, Oct 08 (APP):The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has appointed Dr. Sameera Shams as the Chairperson of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Commission on the Status of Women.
The decision was made during a meeting of the provincial cabinet chaired by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, in which the members of the Commission were also approved.
Following the cabinet’s approval, a formal notification was issued by the Department of Zakat & Ushr, Social Welfare, Special Education, and Women Empowerment.
According to the notification, the Commission consists of ten members, including Shabeena Ayaz, Amna Parvaiz, Tayyaba Batool, Muslim Taj, Dr. Minhas Majeed, Shakeera Syed, Tahira Kaleem, Ikram Khan, Komal Younas, and Humaira Nawaz.
