DERA ISMAIL KHAN , Feb 26 (APP):District Police Officer (DPO) Zia-ud-Din Ahmed on Thursday visited the Paroa Circle in Dera Ismail Khan to review security arrangements and inspect police stations as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen law enforcement and ensure transparency in policing.
Accompanied by DSP Paroa Muhammad Saleem Khan Baloch, the DPO inspected Police Station Paroa and Police Station Gomal University. During the visit, he conducted a comprehensive security audit, examining entry and exit points, CCTV surveillance systems, and the performance of personnel on duty.
He also reviewed the daily registers (Roznamcha) and other official records to ensure proper documentation and transparency. Later, he inspected the arms and ammunition stored in the police station’s malkhana (store) and directed officials to ensure cleanliness, secure custody, and accurate record maintenance.
Speaking on the occasion, the DPO said that security of police stations and transparency in record-keeping were fundamental professional responsibilities of the police, adding that no compromise would be made on these standards.
He further directed officers and personnel to treat the public with courtesy, uphold merit and the rule of law in all matters, and utilize their professional capabilities to effectively curb crime.
At Police Station Gomal University, the DPO also reviewed the ongoing construction work. SHO Umar Iqbal briefed him in detail on the progress of development works and operational matters.
Police officials reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of citizens across the district.
