DPC supports Punjab government’s decisions on law & order

SARGODHA, Oct 17 (APP): An emergency meeting of the District Peace Committee (DPC) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Muhammad Wasim to review law and order situation in city.
According to the spokesperson for the DC office here on Friday, the meeting was attended by religious scholars, police officials, district administration representatives, and members of the peace committee.
During the meeting, the participants fully supported the decisions made in the recent provincial law and order meeting, emphasizing that no one would be allowed to spread hatred or unrest.
The committee resolved to adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards violations of the law, particularly regarding loudspeaker usage and social media regulations.
The committee also decided to take action under the Anti-Terrorism Act against those spreading hate speech or inciting violence.
On the occasion, the DC assured that peace and order would be maintained at all costs in Sargodha, with full implementation of the provincial government’s decisions.
The administration, police, and peace committee members pledged to work together to ensure the safety and security of the public.
The meeting concluded with a special prayer for peace, brotherhood, and stability in the country.
