KOHAT, Feb 23 (APP):A lady doctor was shot dead in Kohat Development Authority’s (KDA) area as an unidentified assailants opened fire on her, the police said on Monday.
According to police, the incident occurred in the early hours of the day, after which police and rescue teams immediately reached the spot and shifted the body to the District Headquarters Hospital for legal formalities.
District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat Shehbaz Elahi visited the crime scene and directed the investigation team to conduct a swift, professional probe.
He said that all available resources would be utilized to trace and arrest the perpetrator at the
earliest.
The DPO said that those involved in the heinous act would be brought to justice without any leniency.
He added that evidence collected from the scene had been sent for forensic analysis, while a search
operation had been launched in the surrounding areas to track down the suspect.
