KHANEWAL, Oct 24 (APP):The journey of development and public service continues across Khanewal district in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, as parliamentarians and district administration reaffirmed their commitment to serving citizens efficiently.
The ninth meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chairman and Member National Assembly (MNA) Muhammad Khan Daha. MNA Chaudhry Iftikhar Nazir, Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Communication and Works Rana Muhammad Saleem Hanif, MPA Barrister Osama Fazal, Barrister Asghar Hayat Hiraj, and MPA Rana Babar Hussain’s representative also attended the session.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Salma Suleman briefed the participants on the implementation of Punjab government directives, the progress of the Annual Development Programme (ADP), and other assigned administrative tasks.
She also apprised the committee about the ongoing crackdown against illegal foreign residents, anti-state elements, and the enforcement of the Loudspeaker Act across the district.
District Police Officer (DPO) Ismail Kharrak presented an overview of the current law and order situation, assuring effective security measures across Khanewal.
The parliamentarians directed all departments to ensure transparency and timely completion of ongoing development projects. They further instructed that contractors employing delaying tactics be blacklisted immediately.
Emphasizing the importance of governance and delivery, MNA Muhammad Khan Daha stated that the benefits of government policies must reach the public in every circumstance.
