District Administration Astore Issues Safety Advisory Following Heavy Rain, Thunderstorm Forecast

In view of the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s forecast of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in District Astore from July 1 to July 5, the District Administration has issued precautionary guidelines for both residents and tourists.

ASTORE (APP) Jul 01 (APP): In view of the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s forecast of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in District Astore from July 1 to July 5, the District Administration has issued precautionary guidelines for both residents and tourists.
According to the District Administration, the expected adverse weather conditions may trigger landslides, flash flooding in streams and nullahs, and disruptions to transportation.
Residents as well as tourists visiting from across the country have been advised to check the latest weather updates before starting their journeys and to avoid unnecessary travel during rain or windstorms in order to stay safe and prevent any untoward incidents.
The administration has particularly advised people living near streams, mountainous areas, and low-lying locations to remain vigilant, closely monitor weather conditions, and take timely precautionary measures to deal with any emergency situation.
The District Administration has further urged the public to strictly follow the issued safety instructions, avoid visiting streams, rivers, and other hazardous locations unnecessarily, and comply with the directions of the relevant authorities during any emergency to ensure the protection of life and property.
