ISLAMABAD, Jul 22 (APP):Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, along with the entire Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police force, remained on the ground on Monday amid torrential rains to ensure public safety, assist citizens, and tackle emergency situations across the city.
An official told APP that the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) personally monitored the situation in the field, directing his officers to respond swiftly to rain-related challenges and provide timely support to affected residents.
He said police officers were stationed in their respective sectors, actively extending help to citizens and remaining vigilant against any unforeseen incidents.
He said the Islamabad Police, driven by the spirit of public service, continues its unwavering commitment to serving the people in difficult weather conditions.
He said traffic personnel were also deployed across major arteries to maintain smooth vehicular flow and prevent congestion in waterlogged areas.
He said citizens were urged to dial the emergency helpline PUKAAR-15 for immediate assistance in any emergency.
