SUKKUR, Dec 23 (APP):DIG Sukkur, Captain (Retired) Faisal Abdullah Chachar on Tuesday has directed SSPs of Sukkur, Khairpur, and Ghotki districts to enhance security measures for Quaid Day, Christmas, and New Year celebrations.
In a statement, he instructed to tighten security at entry and exit points, check posts, and increase patrolling in the Sukkur range.
He emphasized securing churches, recreational spots, hotels, railway stations, and bus stops and monitoring suspicious individuals.
The DIG also directed deploying police personnel around churches to ensure the Christian community can perform their religious rituals peacefully. In line with government orders, he banned displaying arms and aerial firing on New Year’s Eve, warning strict action against violators.
